Conferences 2014

TWO OFFICIAL GEOPOLYMER CONFERENCES SCHEDULED EVERY YEAR
At the January 2009 Daytona Beach conference, Professor Joseph Davidovits (Geopolymer Institute, France) and Professor Waltraud Kriven (University of Illinois, USA) agreed to organize two official complementary and different conferences, every year:
– one located in the USA , in January, at Daytona Beach, Florida, Geopolymer Symposium within the Frame of the ICACC International Conference on Advanced Ceramics and Composites. This is a regular conference for scientists.
– the second in Europe, in July, in Saint-Quentin, France, the GeopolymerCamp: it is a gathering, a workshop, not a traditional conference.

Pyramide: le paléomagnétisme démontre la nature artificielle des pierres.

Une récente étude scientifique publiée dans la revue scientifique renommée « Europhysics News », Le Magazine de la Société Européenne de Physique, (2012), vol. 43, n ° 6, décrit comment l’étude du paléomagnétisme sur plusieurs pierres des pyramides démontre la validité de la théorie de Davidovits sur le caractère artificiel des pierres des pyramides égyptiennes.

Deux scientifiques, le Dr Igor Túnyi du Geophysical Institute SAS – Bratislava (République slovaque) et Ibrahim A. El-hemaly du National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics, Le Caire, Egypte, ont fait l’hypothèse suivante (traduction de leur article scientifique en Anglais):

Paleomagnetism study supports Pyramid man-made stone

A recent scientific study published in the renown “Europhysics News“, The Magazine of the European Physical Society, (2012), Vol. 43, number 6, described how paleomagnetism study on several pyramid stones demonstrates the validity of Davidovits’ theory on the artificial nature of Egyptian pyramid stones.
Two scientists, Dr. Igor Túnyi from Geophysical Institute SAS – Bratislava (Slovak Republic) and Ibrahim A. El-hemaly from National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics – Cairo, Egypt, made the following assumption (quote from their scientific paper):

Révolution Géopolymère en marche

Je suis heureux de constater comment la science des géopolymères, que j’ai fondée il y a 33 ans, donne lieu à des développements et innovations touchant le grand public. Ainsi, BASF, la World Chemical Company, assure une promotion importante de la technologie géopolymère. Dans un article précédent posté à l’Institut Géopolymère et daté du 24 Mars, 2011, nous avions présenté le nouveau produit géopolymère de BASF, le joint PCI-GEOFUG (allez à BASF). Entre temps, la société introduit cette nouveauté dans les principales foires et expostions internationales, partant de l’Allemagne, le Royaume Uni, puis maintenant la France, Paris, à BATIMAT (8 Nov., 2011). Il est intéressant de suivre l’évolution des arguments commerciaux utilisés dans les diverses brochures décrivant ce joint géopolymère GEOFUG. Le texte en français déborde d’enthousiasme. Dans une de ses pages (il s’agit de la page 2 de la brochure), on voit 3 femmes levant à bout de bras des pancartes vantant la Révolution Géopolymère, avec le slogan GEOPOLYMER FOREVER.

Geopolymer Revolution on the Move

I am happy to see how Geopolymer science, which I founded 33 years ago, is generating applications and innovations dedicated to the general public. BASF, the world Chemical Company is strongly promoting geopolymer technology. In an older post posted in the Geopolymer Institute on 24 March, 2011, we introduced the geopolymer grout PCI-GEOFUG (go to BASF). Meanwhile, the company presents it at various international fairs and expositions, starting from Germany over UK, and presently in Paris, at BATIMAT (8 Nov., 2011). It is interesting to follow the arguments outlined in the company technical brochures dedicated to this geopolymer grout GEOFUG.The French text is enthusiastic. On one page (it is page 2) one sees 3 women raising both arms above their head with placards that read, translated from French:

Revenge for ridiculed scientists: 2011 Nobel Prize in Chemistry

The revenge of the ridiculed scientists.
In September 2006, my article Publish or Perish: the disease of scientific research highlighted how the 2005 Nobel Prize winners in Medicine had been forbidden for years to publish the results of their research, simply because they contradicted what was taught in the faculties world-wide, and accepted by the majority of the scientific community at that time. The recent 2011 Nobel Prize in Chemistry, Daniel Schechtman, experienced a situation even more vexing. When in 1982, thirty years ago, he made his discovery of quasicrystals, the research institution that hosted him fired him because he « threw discredit on the University with his false science ». Why? Because he had the misfortune to make his discovery alone, without the help of other colleagues. Indeed, for the scientific authorities and institutions it is fashionable to proclaim that research is above all a team work. So that any individual discovery is suspect, subject to ridicule, worse, suspected of manipulation of results and scientific fraud.
The press release from Reuters News Agency dated of October 6, 2011 was entitled: Ridiculed crystal work wins Nobel.
I have often quoted in my books the philosopher Schopenhauer (1788-1860): the establishment of the truth passes through three stages: during the first it is ridiculed, in the second it is resisted, in the third it is considered as self evident. Daniel Schechtman has crossed the 3 steps. He was the subject of fierce resistance from one of the greatest scientists of the 20th century, Linius Pauling, Nobel Laureate in Chemistry and Peace Nobel Laureate. In 1985, he wrote: Daniel Schechtman tells non-sence. There are no quasi-crystals, there are only quasi-scientists!
Those who follow my research on geopolymer science know that I already went through the first two steps. Five to six years ago, we entered the consolidation phase, the third step. To see this, just look at the evolution of the number of scientific publications published each year on geopolymer science and applications.

Revanche des scientifiques ridiculisés: Prix Nobel de Chimie 2011

La revanche des scientifiques ridiculisés.
En Septembre 2006, mon article Publish or Perish : la maladie de la recherche scientifique soulignait comment les lauréats du Prix Nobel de Médecine 2005 avaient été interdits de publier les résultats de leur recherche, tout simplement parce qu’elle contredisait ce qui était enseigné dans les facultés, et admis par la majorité de la communauté scientifique de l’époque. Le récent Prix Nobel de Chimie 2011, Daniel Schechtman, a fait l’expérience d’une situation plus vexante encore. Lorsque en 1982, il y a trente ans, il fit sa découverte des quasi-cristaux, l’institution de recherche qui l’accueillait le mis à la porte, car il « jetait le discrédit sur l’université avec sa fausse science« . Pourquoi? Parce qu’il avait eut le malheur de faire sa découverte tout seul, devant son microscope électronique, sans l’aide d’autres collègues. En effet, il est de bon ton de proclamer dans les instances scientifiques que la recherche est avant tout un travail d’équipe. Si bien que toute découverte individuelle est suspecte, soumise aux moqueries, pire, aux sous-entendus de manipulation de résultats et de fraude scientifique.

Nouvelle analyse: pierre artificielle des Pyramides d’Égypte

Une nouvelle analyse scientifique démontre la nature artificielle des pierres des Pyramides d’Égypte. L’article dont le titre est « Were the casing stones of Senefru’s Bent Pyramid in Dahshour cast or carved? Multinuclear NMR evidence » (Les pierres de revètement de la Pyramide Rhomboidale à Dahshour sont-elles agglomérées ou taillées? Évidence par l’analyse RMN multinucléaire), a été publié récemment dans Materials Letters 65 (2011) 350–352, par une équipe internationale composée de: Kenneth J.D. MacKenzie (MacDiarmid Institute for Advanced Materials and Nanotechnology, Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand), Mark E. Smith, Alan Wong, John V. Hanna (Department of Physics, University of Warwick, Coventry, CV4 7Al, UK), Bernard Barry (Institute of Geological and Nuclear Sciences, Lower Hutt, New Zealand) et Michel W. Barsoum (Department of Materials Science and Engineering, Drexel University, Philadelphia, PA 19104, USA).

New analysis shows artificial Pyramid stone

A new scientific analysis demonstrates the artificial nature of Egyptian Pyramid stone. The article titled: « Were the casing stones of Senefru’s Bent Pyramid in Dahshour cast or carved?
